MoversMarket is a new type of online marketplace for buying and selling property. It assists individuals from searching for properties to agreeing on a sale, all within a single platform.

MoversMarket differentiates itself from search sites such as Rightmove and Zoopla two distinct ways.

The marketplace enables anyone to share digital links of a property listing with their network of contacts. When a link is followed to book a viewing that results in a sale, the sender earns a commission simply for sending the link.
This informal community of sales affiliates named Property Promoters, come from all walks of life, from property professionals to well connected retirees. They compete to find the buyers for each property and to claim the commission or "bounty" on offer.
This aims to provide property owners with a large geographically dispersed and proactive sales team to promote their home all from one central point.
Direct communication with buyers and sellers.
MoversMarket InstantInsights® feature provides transparency through direct and real-time notifications to sellers as well as their property advisor. When a buyer shortlists, shares, schedules a viewing or makes an offer on their property both seller and property advisor receive the notification.
MoversMarket aims to ensure sellers have the same knowledge as their agents. This enhances communication, empowers sellers, and reduces the chances of poor agent practices.
Are MoversMarket property listings on Rightmove?
MoversMarket property listings are exclusive and cannot be found on any other property search sites.
This holistic approach allows MoversMarket to simplify the property buying and selling process, offering a trusted platform for transactions. This leads to a seamless experience for buyers, eliminating the need to navigate between an online search site and offline estate agencies for viewings, information gathering, or making offers.
Additionally, it gives sellers a single, dependable source of information on how their property is faring in the market.
Can estate agencies list their properties on MoversMarket?
Yes. Estate agencies will be able to list their clients properties exclusively on the platform and take advantage of its transparency features after our "soft launch" testing period ends in 2025.
Until then all listings will be managed by MoversMarket and a select number of Senior Property Advisors.
What problem does MoversMarket seek to address?
MoversMarket is founded on the core belief that the existing structure of the UK property search and sale market is structurally flawed. Due to the powerful network effects enjoyed by dominant search sites, combined with industry inertia and the financial risks associated with moving to a new system.
These issues manifest as widespread mistrust in estate agents and disappointing experiences reported by those buying and selling homes. Additionally, the disconnect between online search sites and their estate agency customers, result in a disjointed process that lets down consumers.
A radical overhaul is necessary to address these deep-rooted structural issues.

What type of property does MoversMarket sell?
MoversMarket was soft launched in May 2024 to test and refine the systems. To ensure the highest standards, the marketplace is being deliberately restricted to selling freehold only property in the BH Postcode districts only. The platform is designed to sell all types of property at all price points.
The first listing was at £5m in May 2024.

Who founded MoversMarket?
MoversMarket was founded by former estate agent Michael Riley and Ex Marshall Wace hedge fund software engineer Jack Edgar. The pair met on US Start-up Accelerator YCombinator's founder matching service in late 2023.
